After four years in North London, German goalkeeper made the decision to leave Arsenal in search of regular first-team football ahead of this year’s World Cup.
He is now set to become the new No1 at Craven Cottage of Fulham United football club.
Following the official announcement of his departure on Tuesday, Leno took the time to thank Arsenal fans with a touching post on social media.
According to thesun.co.ukarsenal Bernd Leno said: “Hey Arsenal fans, it’s time to move on for me. It’s been a pleasure to be part of this great football club for four amazing years.
“Thank you very much for your support and Also a big thank you to my team-mates and the staff behind the team. I‘m looking forward to see you soon!”.
It won’t be long before Leno has the chance to reunite with his former team-mates as the Gunners are set to host Fulham in a Premier League fixture at the Emirates Stadium on August 27.
Bernd Leno assured the North London giants that the next they meet in the Premier League would be as opponents. Leno was displaced by in-form Aaron Ramsdale as the Arsenal and Arteta’s 1st choice no. 1 goalkeeper.
Now Leno would be the no. 1 keeper for Fulham. He is set to keep for Fulham on day 1 of Premier League as Fulham visit the Emirates Stadium.
