Qualification Requirements for IMF Internship Program

The following are the prerequisites for the International Student IMF Internship in 2024.

students pursuing PhDs

  • After earning a doctorate in macroeconomics or a similar discipline in one to two years.
  • Have a student status during the internship (i.e., plan to pursue a PhD following the internship).
  • Be less than the age of 32 when the internship first started.
  • possess a strong knowledge of written and spoken English.

Students pursuing masters

  • Obtaining a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, such as macroeconomics.
